Program Description:
GEOG2204 - International Field Work in Geography 


Keen to escape the 2018 Aussie winter for a European summer and earn credit towards your degree? Enrol in International Fieldwork in Geography!
Travel to Germany and Austria to learn about cultural studies, geography, urban and regional planning, tourism, public transport and urban development. You'll start in Hamburg (4th on the top ten Lonely Planet places to visit in 2018), travel through Germany and finish in Salzburg, Austria. You'll tour the high-altitude environmental research observatory at the top of Germany’s highest mountain (Zugspitze), overlooking more than 400 alpine peaks in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

Course Content: 
The unit consists of preparatory reading, two pre-trip meetings in Semester 1, followed by a two-week field trip in July. There is no exam.
