Program Terms:Calendar Year, Semester 1, Semester 2, Split Year (2 sems)
The REPs (Returned Exchange Peers) program is run by the Global Learning Office. It is a chance for returned exchange students to help out and spread the word about exchange. Not only is it a great volunteering experience to include on your resume, it can help you re-adjust to life in Perth after your exchange.
Shauna Teh at Hong Kong Disneyland - One of our exchange REPs from semester 1, 2018 who studied at the University of Hong Kong in semester 2, 2017!
As a REP, you will meet other students in the same position as you and be able to share your exchange stories with people who are genuinely interested.
A variety of activities are run throughout semester including presenting at information sessions, writing website content, Global Cafe (with incoming exchange students), pre-departure sessions, Exchange Fair, creating videos etc. You will need to be available for at least 1 hour per week during semester.
For an example of some of the great works REPs do, last year's REPs created the following video about exchange and study abroad:
Everyone knows that students listen to other students, so we need you to get out there and tell everyone about how amazing and life changing your exchange experience was!
Successful applicants will have the volunteer hours from the program officially recognised by the University and recorded on their transcript, if you do a minimum of 13 hours.
