Program Description:
Restrictions to UWA exchange students
  • Students must have a WAM of 63 or above.
  • Chinese Taught Courses - Two years of Chinese at tertiary level.
  • Chinese Language course - No requirement, placement test on arrival. No language requirement for courses taught in English.
  • Academy of Arts and Design, MBA and LLM (Masters of Law) Programs not available.
  • Tsinghua will consider Chinese students wishing to return to their home country, however, there is only 1 place available per semester.
  • Graduate courses in the School of Economics and Management are only open to Postgraduate Business Students.
Each Semester, Tsinghua University will offer a select range of courses in English. Please note that the exact offerings can differ from semester to semester, so please allow for some flexibility in your study plan.

Undergraduate, Australian citizen students will be eligible to apply for a scholarship of AUD$5000 from the New Colombo Plan Mobility if successful with their application for a Chinese university.

Chinese passport holders (including Hong Kong nationals) are usually not able to apply for on campus accommodation at this institution. In some instances students may be housed in on campus accommodation with Chinese domestic students. Please note the quality of these facilities varies greatly from that of the international students’ on campus accommodation. Some universities may require Chinese passport holders (including Hong Kong nationals) to find accommodation independently.
