Restrictions to UWA Students

  • Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation will accept students with a WAM of 50% or above, and 18 points completed.  Faculty of Engineering require students to have a 65% and completed 2 years of study by the time they start at UAlberta. All other Faculties require 65% and 36 points completed.
  • ACCTG 480, BUS 201, BUS 301, FIN 436, FIN 480, MGTSC 312, MIS 441, SMO 310, SMO 441, independent research, internship, study tour, competition, work experience and Special Topic (numbered 488) courses are not available to UWA students. Economics courses are not run through the Business School.
  • Law & Business - only 1 application per year. Apply in the December round for semester 2 the following year or semester 1 the year after.
  • Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Medical Microbiology & Immunology classes, criminology & computer engineering not available.

Internships may be possible during a semester long exchange. Please contact studyabroad@uwa.edu.au if you are interested.

Full course load at UAlberta is 15 credits.
